EDUCON2022 28–31 March, 2022, Tunis, Tunisia

Overview

Engineering and Entrepreneurship should absolutely be open and welcoming to everyone. However, on the one hand, especially women and underrepresented groups frequently face many challenges and difficulties in this context, even though, on the other hand, their better representation brings new and much-needed opportunities for education and industry. Hence, we want to positively influence their development of skills and careers and their starting of new initiatives, companies, and organizations.

This Special Session (WUGE) within the EDUCON 2022 Conference in Gammarth, Tunisia (March 2022), aims to cover all aspects of engineering education with regard to women and underrepresented groups in entrepreneurship, including topics such as diversity, social aspects, empowerment, the digital gender gap, disabilities, internships, networking, business administration, teaching cases, problem-based learning, capstone projects, methodologies, experience reports, startups, funding, the pandemic, etc., as well as any work in progress. Our main goal is to bring together stakeholders for exchanging ideas and experiences and to encourage networking between and within academia and industry, but also to develop and promote new ways to face, tackle, and overcome today's challenges in this context, as well as to support initiatives that positively impact women and underrepresented groups.
