Nowadays, there are different national and international communities and organizations dedicated to women engineers where they can interact, develop their professional careers, increase their self-confidence, improve their professional skills, and achieve their goals. These communities can inspire and motivate women engineers by connecting them with other women who can serve as role models to follow, as well as demonstrate the influence and roles of female professional communities. For this reason, in this round table we will reflect on the strategies that lead to the success of the professional career of women in engineering, the knowledge, skills and experiences necessary to achieve the professional challenges demanded by the engineering career and different action plans for the professional growth of female engineers.

Technology has impacted every aspect of our lives and as lecturers within Higher Education we need to ensure that we are capable of transforming our practices to suit the requirements and learning styles of our technology savvy students. Moreover, research has shown positive developments in the teaching of mathematics by using technology-based tools and devices, thus, this qualitative study explores the use of technology-based pedagogy within mathematics and mathematics education Higher Education milieus. It is important to explore innovative mathematics pedagogy with the aim of improving student performance in mathematics. It is the aim of this study to enhance the quality of teaching mathematics and mathematics education within Higher Education milieus. Therefore, lecturers using technology-based pedagogy for mathematics and mathematics education with will be observed and interviewed during 2022-2024. Students (PGCE, B.Ed. and B.Ed. Honours) who attend these technology-based lectures will be interviewed based on their experiences of technology-based teaching and learning.
Lab-based education has always played a key role in technical, engineering and scientific education. Educational institutions have been traditionally concerned about this essential role and consider experimental learning as one of the pillars on which the learning is established. In this sense, the benefits provided by real-based controlled scenarios must fill the gap between academia and professional world. In this real-experiences demanding scenario, new educational tools have emerged: non-traditional laboratories. Non-traditional laboratories exploit the potential of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) to provide an alternative and/or complement to traditional hands-on labs.
Panel will address which technologies are involved in non-traditional laboratories, non-traditional laboratories types, laboratory networks, IEEE Std 1876 Networked Smart Learning Objects for Online Laboratories, COVID-19 implications in laboratory education, potential role of non-traditional laboratories in Industry 4.0 and new trends and future.
