About TUT

IEEE EDUCON 2015 will be hosted by Tallinn University of Technology in the period of 18-20 March. Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) is one of the leading technical universities in the region with a strong focus on high-level research in engineering, technology and innovation-related fields. TUT is a modern and internationally successful university, with a long academic history since 1918. TUT is the only campus university in the Baltic region having one of the most compact university campuses in Europe. The territory of TUT includes 55 buildings and has a total area of 55.5 hectares.

Tallinn University of Technology is located in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, approximately 10 kilometers from the center of the city.

How to get there

From the airport

Once arrived to Lennart Meri international airport in Tallinn you can take a bus nr 2 in front of the airport entrance “Arrivals” that goes straight to the city center. Ticket can be purchased either from “R-kiosk” situated in the airport building or directly from the bus driver, which costs slightly more.

From the city center – take either trolley nr 3 or bus nr 36

Trolley nr 3 from “Kaubamaja” stop (near the big shopping center called “Viru” ) or from Freedom Square and get off at “Keemia” stop that is just next to TUT campus – you can see te TUT main building and library.

Bus nr 36 from “Viru” bus stop or from Freedom Square to “Tehnikaülikool” stop that is just in front of TUT main building.

By Taxi

You can also use the taxi which will take you from the airport directly to the TUT. Taxies are available right at the airport and will charge you around 15 Euros.
